Simple Chicken Marinade (for 1 lb/500g of chicken)

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons lemon juice (or vinegar)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)

1 teaspoon dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)

1 teaspoon paprika (optional, for color and smoky flavor)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together all ingredients until well combined.
  2. Place chicken in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over it.
  3. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (ideally 2–4 hours, or overnight for more flavor).
  4. Remove from marinade and cook as desired—grill, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, or pan-sear.
